  • Bocconi University is known for attracting state and private funding for the research projects. For an instance, BU managed to funding from the European Union (around €1.4 million) and the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (around €300 thousand), and  addition from other external sources (around €11 million) in 2006.
  • In 2011, the European Research Council (ERC) assigned around €5 million to Bocconi University for its five projects in the area "social science and humanities" led by five Bocconi professors.
  • The first building of Bocconi University in Via Sarfatti was established in 1936 by the Giuseppe Pagano, famous Italian Architect. The entrance of the building has two lion statues which are the subject of several university myths.
  • The newly established building at Bocconi University, the  Grafton Building has awarded with the "World building of the year" at the World Architecture Festival in 2008 in Barcelona.
  • In 2019, According to the QS Subject Ranking, Bocconi University is ranked #11 for the MA Finance.
  • The university has number of student associations which are responsible for organizing events, raising student’s concerns and publishing students work.
  • Some of the student-run magazines and publications of Bocconi University are Bocconi School of Law Student-Edited Papers: the Law School's official student publication, Tra i Leoni: a campus magazine run by the eponymous society; IS@B News: a campus magazine run by the International Student Association (IS@B) and Be OBjective Magazine: a bimonthly pdf magazine founded by students from the ACME course.
